Big idea: tidak vs bukan + useful affixes (me-/di-): me- and di- (very basic)

Two negators + a tiny intro to affixes gives you a lot of real Indonesian.

me- and di- (very basic)

me- is common for active verbs; di- for passive. You can start by recognizing them.

  • membuka (to open)
  • dibuka (is opened)
Saya membuka pintu.
I open the door.
Pintu dibuka.
The door is opened.
