How negation works

Start with one common negative sentence and reuse it.

  • tidak negates verbs/adjectives.
  • bukan negates nouns (not X).
Saya tidak tahu.
I don't know.
Ini bukan air.
This is not water.
Saya tidak mengerti.
I don't understand.
