Possession (my/your) in real sentences

Use ‘my’ and ‘your’ naturally — a high‑frequency grammar need.

Core pattern

Start from a sentence you already know, then swap the possessed noun.

  • friend → name → phone → ticket
  • If endings change, learn them as a chunk.
Este es mi amigo.
This is my friend.
¿Cómo estás?
How are you? (tú)
¿Cómo está usted?
How are you? (usted)
Vivo aquí.
I live here. (subject ‘I’ omitted)
Estoy aquí.
I am here.
Quiero agua.
I want water.
No entiendo.
I don't understand.
¿Hablas inglés?
Do you speak English? (informal)
