A beginner strategy for plurals: learn a few patterns and lots of real examples.

Plural strategy

Plural marking depends on gender and ending; polite plural ‘आप’ is common.

  • Don’t hunt for a single ‘rule’ — learn high‑frequency examples first.
  • If plural affects articles/cases, learn it as part of the phrase.
